Raiders on brink of district title, 50 straight regular-season wins (Denton RC)

With a win in Thursday’s regular-season finale against Birdville, No. 3 Ryan would lay claim to its fifth straight district title. The Raiders could also reach a major milestone in what has quietly become one of the top winning streaks in the state.
Ryan heads into Birdville ISD Fine Arts/Athletics Complex with 49 straight regular-season wins dating back to 2015 and can reach 50 with a win over the Hawks. The current streak is already a program-best; the previous long was 25 between 2009 and 2012. It is also the second-best such active streak in the state behind Class 6A Allen’s 74 wins.
