Head Football Coach
In his eight years as Head Coach at Ryan he has helped lead the Raiders to six straight undefeated regular seasons, six straight District Championships, a class 6A State Quarterfinal appearance, three class 5A State Semifinal appearances, a class 5A State Finals appearance, a class 5A State Championship in 2020, an 85-5 record the last six years, and a 90-10 overall record in seven seasons. Coach Henigan was named the 5-6A Coach of the Year in 2015 after Ryan went 13-1.
He was named the 5-5A Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2017, and the 4-5A Coach of the Year in 2018 after leading the Raiders to 14-1 records in all three of those years. He was also named the 4-5A Coach of the Year and the Dallas Morning News Coach of the Year in 2019 after leading the Raiders to a 15-1 record and the 5A State Title game. In 2020, he was named the 5-5A Coach of the Year, Tom Landry Coach of the Year, TSWA Class 5A Coach of the Year, and the National Football Foundation of Dallas Coach of the Year. As Offensive Coordinator at Denton Ryan, he helped lead the Raiders to a state title in 2002 and a state runner-up in 2003.

Aaron De La Torre
Coach De La Torre is beginning his 4th season for his 15th year as a High School and College Coach. He attended and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. He was a four-year starter for the Lumberjacks as a defensive tackle. He also had a career in the NFL and NFL Europe. He began his coaching career in 2006 at Stephen F. Austin State University and then spent three seasons with the Denton Ryan Raiders from 2009-2011 before becoming the head coach at Irving HS (6 years).
He and his wife Lori, have three children Alex, Adyson, and Kolt.

Coach Gott is beginning his 5th year as a coach at Ryan.
He has 15 years of coaching experience. He started his coaching career in Keller ISD in 2006 and has also coached at Grapevine HS, Birdville HS, Myers MS and Strickland MS. Coach Gott attended Texas A&M University.
Jeff and his wife Katy have 2 children, Gracie & Graham.
Coach Collins played for and graduated from Ryan High. He played football at Abilene Christian University and then spent the next 5 years on their coaching staff. This is Sam's 8th year as a member of the Ryan coaching staff.
Sam and his wife Casey have 2 children, Emma and Noah.
Coach Montgomery is beginning his 17th year as a coach at Ryan. He also coached previously at Canton High for 5 years & Princeton High for 4 years. He attended Austin College.
Shane and his wife Melissa have 2 children: Payton & Lucas.
Coach Bull is in his 8th year on the coaching staff at Ryan High. He has 22 years experience as a football coach. Coach Bull attended Oklahoma State University.
Jordan and his wife Christy have 2 children: Kadyn & Rylan.
Coach Bowman is beginning his 6th year as a coach at Ryan. He is entering his 19th year of Teaching, and 13th year Coaching. He had previous coaching stops in Prosper, Frisco, and in Garland. Billy attended college at East Central University were he played Football & Baseball.
Coach Bowman is married to Keeley and they have two children, Billy and Baylee.
Coach Lokey is entering his 2nd year at Ryan where he coaches Wide Receivers for the Raiders. A graduate of Ryan High School, he attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he played receiver, safety and returned punts for the Lumberjacks for two seasons. He continued his academics and graduated from The University of North Texas with a degree in Kinesiology. Coach Lokey began his coaching career in Krum ISD where he coached wide receivers and cornerbacks. He then coached wide receivers at Denton Braswell High School for the next 4 years. Coach Lokey and his wife Paige live in the Aubrey community with their two daughters Hattie and Sutton.
Coach Lokey is beginning his 6th year as a coach at Ryan. Coach Lokey is a former Ryan Raider football player. He played one season at Stephen F. Austin before transferring to Texas A&M University-Commerce where he graduated in 2012. He started his coaching career in the Bryan/College Station area in 2013. Coach Lokey had spent the prior two years teaching and coaching at Bettye Myers Middle School.
Coach Galyon is in his 7th straight year on the Ryan coaching staff. This is his 18th year overall coaching football. He also coached at North Crowley and Coppell.
Pat and his wife Emily have two girls: Reyna and Bodie
This will be Coach Newberry's third year on the Ryan staff. Before beginning his coaching career, Coach Newberry played and graduated Ryan High in 2004, winning 2 state titles. Coach Newberry went on to play at the University of Hawaii earning first team All WAC defensive back and first team all academic from 2006-2008.
This will be Coach (Lub) Jones first year on the Ryan staff coaching Wide Receivers. Before beginning his coaching career, Coach Jones played and graduated Ryan High in 2003, appearing in 3 state title games, winning 2 state titles. Coach Jones attended The University of Oklahoma State in 2003 before a leg injury took him off the field. Coach Jones graduated from TWU in 2020 receiving a degree in Sociology.
Daniel McLemore is starting his 1st year at Ryan on staff and 8th year coaching. Coach McLemore had spent 5 years at Irving HS. Graduated from Oklahoma State with bachelors in Kinesiology where he lettered 4 years in football and track earning All Big 12 in both sports 2004 and 2005.
Daniel and his wife Kemah have 1 son Dante.
This will be Coach Ressa’s 1st year at Denton Ryan. He came to us from Newman Smith where he was the Head Coach & Athletic Coordinator for 14 seasons. During his tenor there he reached the playoffs 4 times and made it to the 3rd round twice. He has had stops at RL Turner, opened Mansfield Summit and Creekview before Newman Smith.
He has two sons, Ashton and Ayden.
Coach Head has coached at Ryan High 17 years and has 20 years of coaching experience. He is also the boys' head track coach. Coach Head attended Texas Tech University.
Janson and his wife Stacy have 4 children: Kelsey, Kailyn, Kyleigh and Kambree.
Coach Leidner is in his 10th season as a trainer at Ryan High. He spent 1 year prior as the Head Athletic Trainer at Whitesboro High. Coach Leidner attended Hardin-Simmons University. He then received his Masters of Athletic Training from Texas Tech University.
Ronnie and his wife Christen have two daughters , Rhyan and Gentry and one son, Griffin.
Coach Volentine is starting her 1st year at Ryan and 4th year as an Athletic Trainer. She spent 2 years at Ennis High School and 1 year at UTSA as an Athletic Trainer. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science for The University of Texas at San Antonio and Masters in Athletic Training from The University of Houston.
Coach and her Husband, Justin Volentine, reside in Denton.
